Record of six letters from Professor A.N. Prior to the Canterbury University College, received in 1954: on 17 February Prior wrote regarding student assistance allowence raised by £ 400; on 2 March Prior recommended Gillian Quentin-Baxter as a part-time lecturer for £200 for the year; on 13 April CUC received Prior's report about his visit to the University of Otago for a few days, for which the expenses have been paid; on 7 August Prior informed the university that his assistant lecturer Gillian Quentin-Baxter had resigned the position because she had accepted an overseas scholarship; on 1 September Prior sent his estimates for 1955; on 19 October Prior reported how many students passed the Phil B.Sc. and proceeded to Phil II.
